Recipe | Garlic Turmeric Rice

Ingredients

  1 cup Rice
  1 tbsp Butter
  1/2 Onion (finely diced)
  2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  2 cups Vegetable or Chicken Stock
  1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  1 pinch Salt

Method

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan, over a medium heat and add the onion and garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the Turmeric Powder until everything is coated and then add the rice.
  • Add the stock, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and reduce the heat, stirring with a fork to separate the grains of rice.
  • Simmer for approximately 15 minutes, leave to rest for 5 and fluff up with a fork.
  • Serve with Chicken Skewers.
