I've recently picked up my paintbrush (palette knife) and started painting again.
I've discovered that the texture of paper and wood are my favourite surfaces.
It's as much about removing the paint as it is about applying it.
The colour blue features heavily, as are abstract images of the sea.
Maybe it's because I'm from this little island called the UK and I subconsciously miss the sea? I tend to work in pairs.
Because I'm a twin? So many questions!
My paintings are tiny! The largest is just 20x20 cm, but most of them are smaller than 10cm; perfect for displaying on a bookshelf or windowsill!
This new project is called The Painted Word - Original Tiny Paintings. More information can be found on my other website.
Some the originals are still available to buy directly from me. and prints are also available.
There are many artists who have inspired me to paint. To see who my biggest influences have been check out my Blog Post - My Top 10 Artists Of All Time.
Oh hey there!
I'm Louise, but you can call me Fatty. I really like to read, and then I really like to tell people about what I've read. I started this book blog to give fellow readers some great recommendations and maybe introduce them to a writer or a genre that maybe they wouldn't have discovered on their own - because that's what reading is all about!
