Recipe | Feta & Red Onion Plait

Ingredients

  1 Red Onion (finely sliced)
  2x200g Feta Cheese
  100g  Breadcrumbs
  1 tbsp Dried Thyme
  50g Fresh Spinach
  1 tbsp Honey
  3 Eggs
  30ml Milk
  1 pack Ready-Made Puff Pastry

Method

  • Fry the onion in a little olive oil.
  • In a separate bowl, crumble the feta and add the breadcrumbs, thyme, spinach, honey, milk and eggs.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the onions.
  • Lay the pastry on an oven sheet and then spoon the feta mixture in the middle.
  • Cut strips into the pastry on each side of the filling and plait them over.
  • Bake in the oven at 200°C for 25-30 minutes or until golden.

Serve with a green salad.
