Blauer Planet | 6x10 cm
Oil on Paper
The title of this painting comes from the song Der Blaue Planet by the German band Karat. One of my first pieces using oil on paper and a palette knife, I employed different techniques to scrape the paint over the paper, using layers with red and light blue to create a horizon line. I really like the effect the grain of the paper made when I removed the paint. Inspiration taken from Mark Rothko and Gerhard Richter as always!
Oh hey there!
I'm Louise, but you can call me Fatty. I really like to read, and then I really like to tell people about what I've read. I started this book blog to give fellow readers some great recommendations and maybe introduce them to a writer or a genre that maybe they wouldn't have discovered on their own - because that's what reading is all about!
